CO0610 Sixth Grade Seminar (.25 credit)

Length: Nine weeks
Description: This ungraded course is designed to equip sixth grade students with the essential skills, habits, and experiences necessary for success. Through collaborative activities, students will develop a deeper understanding of the school’s core values and community expectations. Sixth Grade Seminar serves as a foundational experience to foster confidence, adaptability, and a growth mindset, a foundation for academic and personal success throughout their middle school journey and beyond.

Level: 8th grade
Length: Nine weeks
Description: Research 8 familiarizes students with the academic research process, teaching them the most effective ways to find, evaluate, and properly utilize source material. Among other sources, students explore the library’s print and online collections, determine the trustworthiness of various source types, and develop an understanding of responsibly citing sources. Students ultimately learn how to compile the results of their research into original products.
