Some of St. Mark’s Campus’ youngest Eagles recently took part in performances that marked important milestones in their early performing arts experience at ESJ. ELP 2 students had their first opportunity to take the stage in front of parents and loved ones. They memorized songs and incorporated hand motions, demonstrating focus, preparation, and growing confidence. Pre-K 3 students shared the story of Easter and Jesus through song and movement, combined with narration from fifth grade students. Experiences like these play an important role in student growth. Learning to speak and perform in front of a group helps children develop confidence, strengthen communication skills, and become more comfortable expressing themselves. At ESJ, these opportunities begin with group performances in the early years and gradually expand to include individual speaking roles, classroom presentations, Chapel readings, and other leadership moments as students grow.
