The Regan Plaza Reimagined: Honoring a Legacy, Building for the Future

Episcopal is reimagining the Dale D. Regan Plaza at the Munnerlyn Campus, creating a sustainable, functional, and beautiful gathering space that will serve students and faculty for generations while honoring the remarkable legacy of former Head of School Dale Regan. Now the time has come for a thoughtful redesign. The plaza will be redesigned during the summer of 2026 and will feature:

  • A tribute to Dale’s legacy, including the relocation of her commemorative plaque to a central garden bed surrounding the Legacy Oak, along with river rocks—a natural element Dale cherished.
  • Enhanced natural beauty, preserving existing oak trees while expanding landscaping and planting areas.
  • Durable gathering spaces, with brick pavers and concrete designed to complement Episcopal’s courtyards and pathways.
  • Improved functionality, including better pedestrian access and upgraded drainage to address stormwater runoff.

Episcopal is now seeking to ensure Dale’s vision and legacy continue to inspire future generations. To learn more about supporting the Regan Plaza Reimagined project, please contact Sam Hyde Geisler ’00, Chief Advancement Officer, at geislers@esj.org, or click here.
