The Gesell Program in Early Childhood will involve all faculty and staff members working with our ELP through kindergarten students this August. The training is designed to deepen understanding and practice related to the healthy development of young children. Dr. Oliviera, Executive Director of the Gesell Institute at Yale University, has selected Cecilia Locke, MAC, LPC, to lead the training. Cecilia is a master trainer and expert in administering the Gesell Assessment Tools and teaching others how to gather data to place children in their developmental peer group. She is fond of saying, “Viewing children through a developmental lens is life-changing; it provides insight into developmentally appropriate behavior and academic expectations for each unique child.”
