Students Step Into Narnia to Conclude “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” Novel Study

Fifth grade students recently completed a novel study on The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.  To celebrate the end of the book, the class stepped into the world of C.S. Lewis for a special culminating event complete with snowy decor, a life-sized painted wardrobe, and special visits from the White Witch and Aslan. Students enjoyed sampling foods inspired by the story, just like the characters did in Narnia! They also had the opportunity to share their personally designed armors, each representing unique qualities, strengths, and values that define who they are. “It was truly inspiring to hear their thoughtful explanations and see how deeply they connected with the story’s themes of courage, friendship, and faith,” said Kim Smith, Fifth Grade Instructor. “This novel has sparked so many meaningful discussions and reflections in our classroom, and the students did a fabulous job bringing it all to life today. Their creativity, enthusiasm, and insights made this celebration extra special.”
