Class Year: Senior
Interests: Track and Field, St. Mary’s Food Pantry Club, Sending Sunshine Club, Family Promise Club, Spanish Club, Community Service Council, Vestry, NHS, Spanish Honor Society, Cum Laude, Eagle Ambassador
Favorite Class: My favorite classes are Chemistry, taught by Mr. Crider, and Spanish, taught by Doctora Howes. Both of these classes were in my sophomore year at Episcopal. I enjoyed Chemistry because I really enjoy the sciences, and I was able to do really well in this class. The experiments were all super fun and interesting, and I learned a lot. I also liked Mr. Criders’ teaching style and humor. For Spanish, this subject has always been my best class, and I love learning Spanish because it is very useful in Florida, for travel, and to speak to some of my cousins who live in Honduras and Guatemala. Doctora Howes and I became close friends, and I still go to visit her. I went on her Costa Rica trip, and she is such a sweet teacher.
What makes you proud to be an Eagle: I am proud because I represent a great school with lots to offer. I attend the sports events and wear my spirit wear, which makes me proud to cheer on and celebrate my classmates. Being an Episcopal Eagle to me means being in a welcoming and supportive environment where lots of people work hard. Episcopal is a college preparatory school, where I am proud to have a strong basis of education before I move on to college.
What would you want a prospective Eagle to know before coming on a tour with you: I would want them to know that I will include them and be very kind to them. In the tour, I will provide insight and ask personal questions to get to know the prospective Eagle, instead of just laying out all the facts. I want the Eagle to know they are in good hands and safe in our environment. In asking questions, I can provide more meaningful answers as I know their art and sport preferences or their favorite subjects and activities in their free time.
Fun Fact: I love to go out on the boat and sit by the beach with my family. The beach is my favorite activity. Another unknown fact that most people may not know is that I made a crochet blanket.
