Photography Students Return from Italy Tour

Fine Arts photography students recently returned from Italy, where they spent two weeks exploring the arts, fashion, museums, and food of Venice, Murano and Burano, Florence, Cinque Terre, and Milan. In Venice, students attended La Biennale di Venezia, one of the world’s oldest, largest, and most prestigious cultural and art exhibitions. In Florence they visited the Boboli Gardens, the Uffizi, Gucci Gardens, and Michelangelo’s Plaza. They explored the sites, went to the beach, and walked the Via dell’Amore in Cinque Terre. In Milan, they toured the Prada Observatory, and the Duomo Di Milano. The trip was designed to pique students’ interest in a wide range of historic to contemporary art, as well as choice scenery and sites, providing unparalleled opportunities for photography of people, places, and landscapes. In the fall, the Fine Arts Department will exhibit students’ photographs from the trip in the Berg Gallery in the Munnerlyn Center for Worship and Fine Arts.
