Photography Students Exhibit at MOCA in “Fearless”

Thirty artworks by Upper School Photography students are on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville (MOCA) through June 15. A reception will be held Wednesday, May 21, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at MOCA, and admission is free. These works join pieces created by students at LaVilla School of the Arts in an exhibition titled “Fearless.” “Fearless” highlights creative responses to the challenges of anxiety in young people. Matthew Patterson, MOCA Director of Education, shares that ESJ student work was requested for this show because of ESJ’s years-long initiatives focusing on mental health. This will be the second year MOCA features the “Fearless” exhibition of student work. The show was created and supported by Kim Vincenty, JACK Mental Health Advocacy and ESJ parent of of Jack ’12. This year’s expanded show will further illustrate the response to anxiety as part of the creative process. Episcopal student photos are by Quinn Camerlengo, Evelyn Carroll, Aubrey Clark, Hudson Douglas, Amelia Fannin, Alexis Galani, Rush Kirk, Kendal Lewis, Caden Lipari, Will Mister, Grace Mitchell, Whitney Morgan, Lily Pennington, Lacey Reed, Gabriella Romanello, Federica Smith-Vicentini, Natalie Stewart, Wren Tiedeberg, Gigi Varella, Michael Ziegler, Noelle Bateh, Anaka Davidsen, Sammy Dussinger, Emily Graves, Stella Herford, Sam Ogletree, Anabelle Rockwell, Ava Salman, Katherine Bell, and Olivia Caserta.
