Learning from the Best: Beaches Hosts Volleyball Clinic on Campus

Our Beaches Campus third–fifth grade students took the court for an afternoon of volleyball fun and skill-building with the ESJ Munnerlyn Campus Varsity Volleyball team!

Hosted in the Petway Family Performance Center, the clinic brought together 35 Lower School student-athletes and 11 Varsity Volleyball players for an afternoon of mentorship, teamwork, and learning. Students practiced essential volleyball skills—including passing, serving, setting, blocking, and digging—while gaining confidence and a greater love for the game.

The clinic, made possible by Phillipa Marks, Volleyball Program Director, gave our younger athletes the opportunity to learn directly from experienced ESJ players and coaches while building connections across our campuses.

“We are thrilled to offer experiences like the volleyball clinic with the Varsity Volleyball team for our Lower School students,” said Matt Flakus, Lower School Athletic Director. “Opportunities like these allow Lower School students to gain confidence in a sport and learn from other students who play on the team.”

Building skills. Building confidence. Building community
