Position Overview: Episcopal School of Jacksonville is seeking an innovative, enthusiastic, collegial, and versatile Upper Elementary Language Arts and Elementary Innovation Lab Instructor for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is structured with a primary emphasis on upper elementary Language Arts instruction (approximately 70% of the role), complemented by teaching in our Elementary Innovation Lab (approximately 30%). The most competitive candidates will have experience teaching elementary school and have a strong background in English Language Arts instruction, as well as Technology and STEAM instruction, alongside a strong commitment to education and equal passion for their subject areas and their students.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary/Secondary Education, English, or an appropriate field of study from a four-year college or university, or post-graduate work in subject matter; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least three years of teaching experience in an elementary school setting. An independent school setting is preferred. Experienced educators with a strong desire to teach in a learner-centered independent school will also be considered.
- Employee must pass a background check, fingerprinting, info.flclearinghouse.com, and complete the Safeguarding God’s Children class.

- Mastery of the content and skills central to the teaching of English Language Arts and Technology/STEAM.
