Last week, first grade students enriched their sea life studies with an exciting field trip to Marineland. The visit brought their in-depth exploration of sea animals to life as they experienced firsthand the marine creatures and habitats they have been researching. During the trip, students observed a variety of sea animals, explored the beach, and developed a greater appreciation for the saltwater ecosystem. Highlights included a behind-the-scenes tour of the aquarium exhibits, shark viewing and feeding, lessons on dolphin anatomy, and learning more about marine conservation efforts. A favorite moment for many was an up-close dolphin encounter, an experience that deepened their excitement for ocean life. Students will showcase what they have learned during their sea animal presentations on May 12.
