Experience the Afterglow

Attention all performance lovers and dance enthusiasts! The Episcopal School of Jacksonville Fine Arts Department proudly presents AFTERGLOW, the Annual Dance Concert, on February 19 and 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the Deming Theatre.

General admission tickets are $20 and can be purchased at esj.booktix.com. ESJ students receive complimentary admission by showing their student ID at the entrance.

AFTERGLOW is Episcopal’s upcoming dance concert, featuring more than 80 lower, middle, and upper school dancers in an energetic and heartfelt evening of movement. The program showcases a dynamic range of styles—jazz, contemporary, tap, and hip hop—highlighting both technical growth and expressive artistry across all levels. This year’s concert also includes compelling guest artist works by Sarah Soto-Berry and Tommy Alexander, culminating in a crowd-pleasing, The Greatest Showman finale. Afterglow is defined as the lingering light or warmth that remains after a source has passed—a resonance that stays with you. That idea beautifully mirrors this Year of Jubilee, our Fine Arts theme centered on new beginnings, renewal, and promise. Like jubilee, afterglow marks the moment when effort transforms into meaning—when what has been learned, practiced, and shared continues to shine long after the final bow. We invite audiences to join us and experience the ephemeral magic of dance—art that exists only in the moment, yet leaves a lasting impression. Come celebrate the joy, the promise, and the glow that remains.
