Soccer (Boys) – Varsity

The Episcopal Boys Soccer program fields Middle School, Junior Varsity, and Varsity teams, with soccer also offered as an extracurricular sport at the St. Mark’s and Beaches campuses. Munnerlyn Campus teams practice on the River Field and Knight Campus fields and play home games on Pajcic-Hunt Field.

The Eagles claimed back-to-back Varsity district championships in 2024–2025 and 2025–2026, finishing the 2025–2026 season as state runners-up. The Middle School team also earned a championship in 2024–2025. More than 30 Episcopal boys soccer players have continued their careers at the collegiate level.

From learning the fundamentals to competing for championships, the program provides opportunities for student-athletes to develop their skills, grow as teammates, and build on Episcopal’s soccer tradition.

Diogo Quirino

Program Director and Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach

Diogo Quirino is in his first year as Episcopal’s Boys Soccer Program Director and Head Varsity Coach. A native of São Paulo, Brazil, he brings more than 11 years of club coaching experience in Jacksonville and previously served as an assistant coach for the Eagles from 2015 to 2017.

Coach Quirino captained the University of North Florida men’s soccer team, earning All-Conference and All-Region honors during his collegiate career. In 2015, he served as a volunteer assistant coach at UNF, helping the Ospreys reach the program’s first NCAA Tournament. He also played three seasons with the Jacksonville Armada U23 team.

In addition to his role at Episcopal, he serves as head coach of the Boys U13 and U14 ECNL RL teams at Sporting JAX Soccer Academy.
