Rowing – Upper School – Boys

Chip Morgan ’15, Head Boys Rowing Coach, Upper School

The Episcopal Rowing team trains out of the Walton Boathouse, a state-of-the-art facility on the banks of the Arlington River at the Knight Sports Campus. Fielding teams at the Middle and Upper School levels, the boys’ and girls’ squads row a fall season that builds toward the scholastic season in the spring.

The program’s focus is helping each student-athlete reach their potential on and off the water. Through depth of training, a commitment to teamwork, and the camaraderie unique to the sport, rowers learn to push their mental and physical limits — the foundation of the Eagles’ success.

That success is well established. Episcopal has won 27 Scholastic State titles across many boat classes in the last ten years alone and placed second in team points at the Florida Scholastic Rowing Association State Championship in both 2017 and 2018. Rowers regularly continue in college, at programs including Cornell, Duke, MIT, Princeton, UCLA, the United States Naval Academy, Boston University, Boston College, Bucknell, and many more.
