Basketball (Girls) – JV

The Episcopal Girls Basketball program fields three Middle School teams, JV, and Varsity, with additional teams at the Beaches and St. Mark’s campuses beginning in third grade. This pathway gives student-athletes opportunities to build their skills from their earliest years through Upper School. Munnerlyn Campus teams practice and compete in the Semmes Gym and Alumni Gym.

The Eagles reached the FHSAA Regional playoffs for the fourth consecutive season in 2025–2026, finishing with an 18-9 record – the most wins in a single season in 20 years. The team also put together a nine-game winning streak and finished ranked No. 140 in Florida (across all classifications), its highest recorded state ranking.

From learning the fundamentals to competing in postseason play, Episcopal Girls Basketball gives players opportunities to develop their game, grow together as teammates, and contribute to the program’s continued success.

Wyatt Walker

Program Director and Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach

Wyatt Walker enters his fifth season leading Episcopal’s Girls Basketball program. In 2025–2026, the Eagles finished 18–9, setting the program’s single-season wins record, and reached the FHSAA regional playoffs for the fourth consecutive year. The season also saw senior Zara Griffith become the program’s first 1,000-point scorer since 1995.

Coach Walker brings experience at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels. At Providence School, he helped win two state championships and four consecutive district and regional titles, finishing his high school career with a 117–10 record and no home losses. He is Providence’s all-time leading rebounder, third-leading scorer, and second-leading shot blocker, and was named the 2015 Florida Times-Union Player of the Year.

He went on to play at Samford University, where he led the Southern Conference in rebounds and double-doubles, before transferring to North Carolina State. He started for the Wolfpack in 2019 and earned recognition on the 2018–2019 All-ACC Academic Team. Selected 25th overall in the 2019 NBA G League Draft, he played for the Salt Lake City Stars, the Utah Jazz’s G League affiliate.

Before joining Episcopal, Coach Walker coached boys basketball at Mill Creek Academy, guiding the Mustangs to back-to-back winning seasons and a conference championship runner-up finish.
