New Parent Orientation (parents only)
August 11
5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Lori Schiavone Commons
New Parent Orientation is designed for parents of newly enrolled students to become acquainted with our school community, its expectations, and routines. It is an adult-only event, and all new parents are encouraged to attend.
Parents enrolling a new sibling are still encouraged to attend, particularly if a child is entering an unfamiliar grade level or if it has been several years since their sibling(s) have attended.
Wednesday, August 13
8:00 a.m.
Fifth Grade Classroom
Students will learn about the many leadership opportunities for fifth grade, upcoming retreats and field trips, and more. During orientation, fifth grade parents are invited to mingle and enjoy coffee in the Lori Schiavone Commons. Following orientation, parents will join their children at 8:30 a.m. to meet all of their teachers.
Wednesday, August 13
8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
Meet Your Teacher Morning is a time for parents and students to explore their new classroom and meet their new homeroom teacher. Families will receive their carpool tag, printed calendar, backpack tag, and students’ spirit shirt (that can be worn on Fridays). All students should be accompanied by an adult during this time.
*Questions and expectations will be reviewed during Back to School Open House August 21, 2025 | 5:30 p.m.).
Note: Teacher assignments will be released on Saturday, August 9 on the My ESJ Parent Portal.

Lori Schiavone Commons
After dropping off your children on the first day of school, all parents are invited to stop by the Lori Schiavone Commons for a celebratory cup of coffee and a chance to mingle with fellow parents.

Join your child(ren) for Chapel as we celebrate and praise God for the start of a new school year!
Thursday, August 21 (Adults Only)
5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
**Afternoon Eagles Closes at 5:00 p.m.**
Open House (two time slots to choose from)
During the Back to School Open House we invite parents to engage with their child(ren)’s teacher and gain valuable insights and expectations for the school year. There are two time slots available, allowing parents to visit multiple classrooms if needed:
Option 1: 5:30 – 6:00 p.m.
Option 2: 6:00 – 6:30 p.m.
We look forward to welcoming you and sharing highlights for the exciting year ahead!
Parents’ Night Out
6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Following classroom visits, Parents’ Night Out will take place in the Lori Schiavone Commons. Enjoy adult beverages, snacks, mingle with fellow parents, and learn about involvement opportunities for the coming school year.
Join Mrs. Trumpler in the library for storytime and book checkout this summer!

The St. Mark’s Campus Parents’ Association (PA), led by Hannah Williford, Chair, and Jackie Husty, Co-Chair, hosted a Parents’ Night Out event following a campus-wide Open House yesterday evening. The annual event provided parents the opportunity to mingle and sign up to volunteer for the coming school year.
“Parents’ Night Out allowed parents to unwind and connect,” said Susan Kwartler, Director of Development at St. Mark’s Campus. “I am grateful to our event chairs for setting up unique event tables, and to all the parents who signed up to get involved this coming school year.”
