Another unforgettable summer at Episcopal School of Jacksonville is officially on the way. This year’s Summer Programs lineup is bigger, more exciting, and more varied than ever!

From first-time campers to seasoned Middle and Upper Schoolers looking to sharpen skills or explore new passions, there’s truly something for everyone. Whether your camper wants to run, create, perform, explore, build, or just have an absolute blast with friends, Episcopal’s summer camps deliver fun with purpose — all on our beautiful Munnerlyn Campus and led by experienced, energetic instructors.

What’s in Store This Summer?

Families can mix and match week-long camps throughout June and July, including:

  • Classic Day Camps for rising Kindergarten through Grade 8
  • Sports Camps like basketball, soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, football, wrestling, tennis, track & field, pickleball, rowing, and strength training
  • Arts & Performance camps featuring musical theater, acting, comedy, dance intensives, photography, costume design, ceramics, studio art, and mixed media
  • STEM, Science & Exploration camps including STEM Camp, Science of Inquiry, Florida Ecology, LEGO, and Film & TV Production
  • Outdoor & Adventure options like beach and inshore fishing, swimming, horseback riding, and sculling
  • Specialty & Enrichment offerings such as community service, driver’s education, and SAT prep

With multiple sessions available each week, families have the flexibility to build a summer that works for their schedule — and their child’s interests.

  • Clear drop-off and pick-up procedures
  • Camps that go until 3 p.m. – with few exceptions, all camps go until 3:00 p.m. this year. Be sure to read the descriptions of each camp.

Mood Swings and Puberty Milestones: What to Expect and How to Help Your Child Thrive

    • Understand how the timing of puberty has changed over the past generation and when to expect changes in your child’s skin, hair, body, and brain
    • Learn how you can help your child navigate the typical changes that occur during puberty
    • Discuss ways to talk to your children about what to expect during puberty

 

CTP 5 Testing (Grades 3-5, February 9-12)

Third, fourth, and fifth grade students will take the CTP 5 exam during the week of February 9-12. This Comprehensive Testing Program is for high achieving students in areas such as reading, listening, vocabulary, writing, and math. It enables schools to assess strengths and areas of growth for individuals and groups.

To enable a successful week of testing, please have your child to school on time each day so they can start testing on time. It is important that your child eat a healthy breakfast and get plenty of rest during testing week. There will be no homework assigned and no classroom tests given for third – fifth grade students this week.

Please let your child’s teacher know as soon as possible if your child will be absent any days the week of testing. Any appointments should be made in the afternoon on those days.

Parents are invited to join the St. Mark’s Campus Parent Book Club to read and discuss The Gift of Failure by Jessica Lahey (Amazon link to purchase).

In The Gift of Failure, Lahey explores how allowing children to face challenges and setbacks helps them develop resilience, confidence, and independence. With relatable examples from school, home, sports, and friendships, the book offers a hopeful guide for raising capable children.

Register for the run and wear your shirt and grade-level color to school!

Friday, February 20 is W.W. Gay Ortega River Run t-shirt day! All students, faculty, and staff who have registered for the run by Sunday, February 15 are invited to wear their 2026 Ortega River Run shirts with uniform bottoms. Shirts are included with both one and five mile registrations.

Colored accessories (headbands, wrist bands, socks, etc.) are encouraged!
