STATEMENTS and TUITION PAYMENTS
- Student accounts must be current in order to start school in August.
- AutoPay is the easiest and best way to make your tuition payments. AutoPay is invoice year specific and must be set up each year. Make sure you have set up AND “Enabled” AutoPay for 2026-27.
SCHOOL CHOICE SCHOLARSHIP
- If you received a School Choice Scholarship, have submitted the Award ID and have approved your student’s registration in the EMA portal, you should see a credit reflected on your statement. If you do not see a credit AND you have completed all of the required steps, email financialaid@esj.org.
As the new school year begins, we want to remind our community to purchase Episcopal apparel and spirit wear only from approved vendors. From time to time, unauthorized websites and unofficial vendors may claim to offer “Episcopal gear” for sale. However, only school-approved vendors are authorized to produce and sell apparel featuring Episcopal’s name, logos, or branding.
Purchasing from approved vendors helps ensure that products meet our brand standards and that your personal and payment information remains secure.
Episcopal School of Jacksonville’s approved vendors are:
- ESJ Campus Store (located on the Munnerlyn Campus)
- Lands’ End
- Baker’s Sports
Additional approved vendors (such as Crowley Printing, Custom Ink, and others) may be used for specific school group or club apparel with prior approval from Episcopal’s Marketing Communications Office.
If you are ever unsure whether a vendor is authorized, please contact the Marketing Communications Office at info@esj.org before placing an order.
New This Week
Students and parents are invited to meet with the student’s advisor to reflect on the academic year in Advising Conversations on Tuesday, March 3. These conversations are facilitated by students and focused on student growth rather than individual grades, therefore students should be present and participate. Conversations will also allow families and advisors to discuss goals for the second semester.
Appointments for Advising Conversations will be offered in person or remotely from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Registration will be available beginning February 16 at noon and will close March 2 at 3:00 PM.
How do I make an Advising Conversations appointment?
- Beginning on February 16 at noon, log in to My ESJ Parent Portal
- Scroll to Important Right Now
- Click on Schedule Your Advising Conversation
- Click on the drop-down to reserve a time and format (in-person or remote) for an appointment with your child, you, and the advisor
- Once the selection is made, your appointment is saved and may be printed from the My Schedule box.
Any questions should be directed to the appropriate Division Head: Natalie Herford, Head of Upper School, or Paige McGee, Head of Middle School.

Our guest speaker is our very own Episcopal School of Jacksonville alumna, Kerri Cannon Napoleon ’94, who will be leading an insightful and approachable conversation around nutrition—perfect for parents juggling busy schedules, student athletes, and growing kids.

Purchase a paver inscribed with your child or grandchild’s name, the name of a friend, alumnus, parent, grandparent, favorite teacher, special team, event or club. The paver will be placed on the Munnerlyn or Beaches Campus, whichever you request.
The deadline to order and have the paver installed in spring of 2026 is March 3. Orders received after the deadline will be processed, but pavers will be laid during spring 2027. Please contact Lisa Allen at allenl@esj.org or 904-396-5751, ext. 1111 with questions.
A Night Beneath the Waves – The Episcopal School of Jacksonville 2026 Junior–Senior Prom
Join us as we slip below the surface with the manatees into an evening of calm currents, glowing lights, and unforgettable moments. Beneath the waves, time slows, the music flows, and the ordinary fades away—leaving only the magic of the deep. Surrounded by shimmering blues, soft movement, and an ocean-inspired glow, we invite you to drift, dance, and celebrate beneath the sea for one night only.

Please join us for our last FANS meeting of the year on Thursday, May 7, from 8:15-9:15 in the Fine Arts Lounge located in the Munnerlyn Center. We’ll have coffee and treats, and we look forward to gathering together in support of the Fine Arts program!
Fine Arts Nurturing Students (FANS) is a parent volunteer organization that enhances the fine arts experience for every Episcopal student and the entire ESJ community. FANS provides essential support to our fine arts students and faculty. As an Episcopal parent, you are automatically a member of every parent organization, including FANS!
Parents are invited to join Head of School, The Rev. Adam Greene on Friday, March 20 in Harden Hall located in the Haskell Center at 8:15 a.m. for coffee and conversation. The Rev. Greene will give an update on the school year and answer questions as time allows.
ESJ Fine Arts is excited to invite you to the second annual Jazz at the Haskell Festival featuring the ESJ Jazz Band, UNF Combo 1, Porch Roots, and the Josh Bowlus Quartet.
This fun event starts at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, outside the Haskell Center for Science and Student Life. Come relax and listen to jazz while enjoying the view of the river. Bring a picnic cloth or camp chairs and enjoy hotdogs and hamburgers on us! Snacks will be available for purchase.

Dear Students and Parents,
On Friday, March 27, 2026, we will be traveling to the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in Folkston, GA, for an interdisciplinary experiential learning trip. Our day will include a boat ride through the Okefenokee Swamp, a historical tour of the Chesser Homestead, a boardwalk hike, and a nature documentary and ranger talk at the visitor center. Students will actively engage in learning by using a field guide and nature journal throughout the trip.
Students should arrive at school by 7:15 a.m. and report to their Advisory. We expect to return to campus around 4:30 p.m. The school will send a text notification to parents when we leave the park with an ETA and 30 minutes prior to returning to campus. Pickup will take place at the Munnerlyn Center.
Prior to the field trip, students will be meeting with Student Life to establish clear expectations for behavior for this learning trip. Our students receive compliments when we are off campus and we expect this class to receive that same praise.
Important Reminders:

- Lunch will be provided; students do not need to bring money.
- Phones will not be allowed during the trip. If your student must bring a phone, it will be collected at the beginning of the field trip and given back at the end.

- Episcopal spirit dress is allowed; however, students must wear closed-toe shoes that tie for safety.
- Students must dress for the weather (dressing in layers is recommended) and be prepared to be outdoors all day.
- Students are encouraged to bring a small backpack with:
- Water bottle
- Snacks
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- Digital or disposable camera *encouraged but not required

We are excited about Celebrating Community Day coming up on Tuesday, April 21. This day, formerly known as Celebrating Service Day, is a reflection of who we are at Episcopal School of Jacksonville. The day will include serving our school and community, as well as other opportunities to nurture and strengthen our relationships within our school community. This is not a day to schedule things outside of school such as appointments and trips. Again, this is a vital part of who we are and we want everyone to fully participate. Let us join together to serve others and to grow as a community.
Second Semester is finally here!! This is a special time for our community as we prepare for Senior events such as Senior Honors Convocation, Baccalaureate and Commencement. The next few months are going to pass quickly. Coupled with senior exams, AP exams, and many academic challenges comes the task of keeping track of all the events that Seniors must attend.
Attached please find a calendar listing all the events that seniors must attend in preparation for Commencement. Seniors, please remember that most of these events are mandatory and that your promptness will help all of us. Parents are invited to attend several of these functions as noted in the calendar. Please note the proper dress for each occasion in the dress code listed below. Caps and gowns will be distributed on Thursday, May 14.
At Commencement, please remember that seats are available on a first come first served basis after 7:00 AM and that a family member must be present to hold seats. Any reserved signs placed on seats prior to 7:00 AM will be removed. The Ironman Competition will be taking place in Jacksonville this year at the same time as Commencement, for more information on how this might effect traffic getting to and from campus the morning of commencement please visit the Ironman website.
Dress Code For All Ceremonies
Wrinkle Free Cap and Gown
(Place gown in dryer with a damp wash cloth and a dryer sheet. Do not iron, the material will melt!!)
Girls:
Attire: Dress or Skirt and Top (Rompers are okay, please be mindful of length) Shoes: No flip flops, canvas or athletic shoes. Please remember that you will be processing through the mulch path, wedges or flats would be best.
Boys:
Must be clean shaven. (We will have shaving kits on hand if you show up for any ceremony and are not clean shaven)
Attire: Light colored Dress Shirt, Dress Pants and Tie. No Shorts!!
