STATEMENTS and TUITION PAYMENTS
- Student accounts must be current in order to start school in August.
- AutoPay is the easiest and best way to make your tuition payments. AutoPay is invoice year specific and must be set up each year. Make sure you have set up AND “Enabled” AutoPay for 2026-27.
SCHOOL CHOICE SCHOLARSHIP
- If you received a School Choice Scholarship, have submitted the Award ID and have approved your student’s registration in the EMA portal, you should see a credit reflected on your statement. If you do not see a credit AND you have completed all of the required steps, email financialaid@esj.org.
As the new school year begins, we want to remind our community to purchase Episcopal apparel and spirit wear only from approved vendors. From time to time, unauthorized websites and unofficial vendors may claim to offer “Episcopal gear” for sale. However, only school-approved vendors are authorized to produce and sell apparel featuring Episcopal’s name, logos, or branding.
Purchasing from approved vendors helps ensure that products meet our brand standards and that your personal and payment information remains secure.
Episcopal School of Jacksonville’s approved vendors are:
- ESJ Campus Store (located on the Munnerlyn Campus)
- Lands’ End
- Baker’s Sports
Additional approved vendors (such as Crowley Printing, Custom Ink, and others) may be used for specific school group or club apparel with prior approval from Episcopal’s Marketing Communications Office.
If you are ever unsure whether a vendor is authorized, please contact the Marketing Communications Office at info@esj.org before placing an order.

The senior group pictures will be taken on Tuesday, October 14, promptly at noon, on the Acosta-Schmidt House Porch.
Please do not be late, as this is the only opportunity we have to take this picture. We will be taking six and seven year survivor pictures immediately after the group shot. Please be sure to wear your rugby shirt!

Grades 9 and 10 Parent Meetings (October 21)
College Counseling is hosting an informational meeting for parents of freshmen and sophomores on Tuesday, October 21, offered at both 8:00 am and 5:30 pm in Harden Hall (lunchroom in Haskell Center). The counselors will share valuable information and perspectives, and allow time for parent questions and discussion. Coffee and tea will be served at the morning session. We hope you’ll join us!

The ESJ Fine Arts Department invites you to attend ReSet, our Fall Art Gallery Opening that will be held in the Berg Gallery on Thursday, October 30 from 5-7PM.
ReSet is an exhibition featuring the work of our talented ESJ visual artists who were asked to think and analyze what doing a ‘reset’ means or represents for them.
“It was very important to me that each student truly creates their own independent and unique vision and outcome,” said Mark Zimmerman, Visual Arts Department Chair and Photography Instructor.
Photography students were asked to use techniques to develop a theme that would bind their work together while Honors students were given a theme and then had to choose the technique that worked best to create the outcome they imagined.
Light refreshments will be provided.

Invitations for Grandparents’ Day have been mailed to all grandparents who were listed in student portals prior to September 1. Grandparents’ Day is Friday, November 7 and is a full day of school. This is a change in format from previous years. Grandparents registration is online and must be completed in order to have students placed on the dismissal list for Grandparents’ Day activities.
Students with guests registered will be dismissed from tutorial and fifth period from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to attend the Grandparents’ Day programming with their guests. Programming includes special time together on campus followed by a Chapel together from 11:30 a.m. – noon. Grandparents’ Day will end before lunch. Students return to their regularly scheduled school day at the end of Chapel. Please coordinate with your family if you have a grandparent attending.

Reminders
College Counseling is hosting a series of application help opportunities in September and October. Whether your student is knee-deep in their application process or just getting started, their college counselors will be available to assist them and answer questions about applications, self-reported academic records (SSAR), college essays, resumes, and more.
- Drop-in application clinics in the College Counseling / Towers House for seniors to work on their applications with the help of their College Counseling team (and snacks)! Students can come for an hour or stay the whole time!
- Saturday, September 6 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and
- Wednesday, October 15 from 8:30 am – 12:00 pm (PSAT day)
- Students should RSVP (must be logged in to their ESJ account) for planning purposes; though drop-ins are welcome!
- ‘Office Hours in the Buck’ every Tuesday and Thursday during each class period from September 9 to October 30. A counselor will be available in the glass pod closest to the nurse’s entrance.

Spanish Exchange Program Invitation Letter
Episcopal-Colegio Inglés, Zaragoza, Spain
Traveling: June 4-18, 2026
Hosting: March-April, 2027
Dear Students & Parents,
I am pleased to announce that Episcopal will begin the new 2026-2027 Spanish Exchange cycle with Colegio Inglés. Our community did an amazing job this past spring hosting Colegio Inglés and they are very excited to receive us this summer! We will travel to Spain June 4-18, 2026 and stay in Zaragoza with host families for 10 days. Afterwards, we will spend two nights in Barcelona and then return to Florida. In turn, ESJ students and families will host Spanish exchange students in Jacksonville in March/April of 2027. There are spaces for 18 students in grades 9-11, ages 14-17; they will be matched with students in the same gender & age range with similar interests, subject to host family availability. Priority is given to students who can both travel and host. This is an exchange program and character is very important. Students need to be in good standing, academically and behaviorally, with the ESJ community and Student Life.
Mrs. Nitza Plaski and Mr. Alex Hernández, ESJ teachers, will be the trip leaders for the program in Spain. The total cost for the program will be determined once we have a final list of students, but is not expected to exceed $5,500. It will include airfare, accommodation with a host family, all ground transport within Spain, all excursions and activities listed on the itinerary, medical insurance, ESJ chaperone accompaniment, two nights hotel accommodation in Barcelona and three meals a day as provided by the host family, and meals in Barcelona. The application and $1,500 deposit is due for the first deadline of November 6, 2026 and checks should be made to Episcopal School of Jacksonville.

- fill out the Spanish Exchange Travel to Zaragoza Interest Form,
- view the Zaragoza-Barcelona Presentation for more information on the proposed activities,
- renew/apply for passports, which must be valid for a minimum of 3 months post departure,
- complete 2026-2027 Application , 2026 Teacher Recommendation and Introductory Letter instructions.
- All forms are due by November 6, 2026; forms can still be submitted after this date until trip is full.

Greece: In the Footsteps of St. Paul
June 2-13, 2026
Students will be immersed in experiential learning traveling to Greece – literally and theologically walking where St. Paul walked. We will focus on St. Paul’s missionary journeys in Greece. Students may travel on their own under the guidance of our chaperones which include myself, Dean Wells and Mrs. Wells, as well as other chaperones to be named.
Parents and family members are also welcome on this trip. Students may earn one semester credit in Theology for successfully completing the trip as well as attending four lunch and learn gatherings before we leave for Greece. Students also are responsible for the completion of a final paper or project after we return from Greece.

Villa Amistad: Cochabamba, Bolivia
June 24-30, 2026
We will travel to Bolivia for this year’s mission trip. Villa Amistad is a children’s village which provides a loving Christian community to children who have been abused, abandoned, or orphaned. Children live in casas (houses) with caregivers. Children are kept together with their siblings in their casas, which may have up to eight children ages 1 to 17.
This mission trip is very relational. We will be assigned to one of the casas, playing with the children and doing anything else that is helpful to their family unit. We may bond through outings in the city, play vacation bible school games and do arts and crafts, and morning worship.
We hope this is the beginning of an ongoing relationship with Villa Amistad. You will earn community service hours on this mission trip. Along with chaperones, we will travel with up to 10 students on this mission trip. Please see me or Fr Chris if you want an application or you have questions.
