The Reverend Victor Hailey, St. Paul’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, cordially invites parents to wait inside the Christopher Lobby before Pre-K/K and First-Fifth Grade Chapel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please feel free to wait in the air conditioning, use the restroom, or have a seat in the lobby.
The Boo Bash Planning Committee will have a meeting on Wednesday, September 10 (after Chapel) under the McCormick Hall Lunch Pavilion . The Boo Bash is a long standing tradition on the Beaches Campus and is an exciting way to kick off the start of fall. Dear Parents,
OT, speech & language (ST) screenings will be available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday | September 15-16 and 18-19, 2025 on the Beaches campus. Screenings are available for children Pre-K through first grade. Screenings will be provided by licensed therapists and will involve a brief assessment intended to identify a need for a full evaluation. You are encouraged to register your child for a screening if they are experiencing difficulties with:
Speech & Language Skills
- Speech: sound production, intelligiblity
- Language: receptive (understanding), expressive (usage), social (engagement)
Occupational Screening
- Fine motor skills: grasp, pattern, cutting, coloring
- Writing: letters/number formation
- Self-help skills: eating, dressing, shoe tying
- Ability to focus/remain seated for structured activities
- Sensory processing (auditory, visual, tactile, vestibular)
If you want your child to participate, please sign the permission slip provided in your students Thursday folder and return to school by September 12, 2025.
The ESJ, Beaches Campus is excited to welcome back a new parent book group to further bring our community together. This fall we will be discussing The Whole-Brain Child by Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson, a book focused on helping nurture their child’s developing brains for better emotional regulation, resilience, and relationships. What to Expect in Young Children: Common Challenging Behaviors and How Parents Can Help
Friday, September 12

Join Dr. Elise Fallucco, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and ESJ Director of Health, Safety, and Well-Being Programming, for a practical look at why children display challenging behaviors such as defiance, tantrums, meltdowns, and emotional outbursts.
Learn simple, effective strategies to help your child manage frustration and emotions, what approaches to avoid, and when certain behaviors may signal the need for further evaluation.
Spirit Day is Friday, September 12, 2025! Don’t forget to wear your ESJ Spirit Shirt with athletic, denim, or uniform bottoms!
School and Extended Day Programs are closed on September 17. Childcare is available during your child(ren)’s conference time(s):
- Pre-K 3 – Grade 5 – conference care offered in the Petway Family Performance Center

No formal program – this is a casual evening of fellowship and fun!

Come cheer on the mighty Episcopal Eagles as they take on the KIPP Bold City High!
- Admission is free for St. Mark’s and Beaches Campus Families.
- Family Ticket Packets for those who RSVP will be emailed closer to the event.
- All students must be accompanied by an adult.

Episcopal’s Cheer Program Director invites your students in Grades 1 – 5 to cheer with the ESJ varsity team at the football game on Friday, September 19 (during Lower School Family Fun Night). We are excited to have our lower school campuses on the Munnerlyn Campus for Friday night lights at Episcopal!
Thursday, September 18
- Practice, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Munnerlyn Campus
- Bus transportation with adult supervision will be available for both campuses to this practice.
- If you would like to sign your child up for transportation to practice on Thursday, please select the appropriate option on the registration form.
- Parents will pick students up at the Munnerlyn Campus Middle School Drop-Off (campus map) after practice at 6:00 p.m.
- Please note the change in pick up location from previous years AND the different drop off location for Friday.
Friday, September 19 (no transportation provided)
- 4:30 p.m. – Check-in and drop off at Munnerlyn Campus Upper School drop-off circle (campus map)
- 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. – Junior cheerleaders practice and get ready with varsity cheerleaders.
- 6:00 p.m. – Junior cheerleaders will be walked over by varsity cheerleaders and coaches to join parents and families at the Lower School Family Fun Night Cookout at the Forbes Event Lawn.
- 6:30 p.m. – Varsity cheerleaders and coaches will walk back over to Forbes Event lawn to pick up the junior cheerleaders.
- First Quarter: Cheer on the sideline
- End of First Quarter: Cheer routine
After the Routine:
Cheerleaders may join their parents and families in the stands to continue cheering on the Eagles.
What to Wear:
- The junior cheerleaders will receive their shirts on Thursday, September 18, at practice.
- They will wear these shirts to Episcopal on Friday, September 19 to cheer in.
- Please have the junior cheerleaders wear black athletic shorts and white socks with sneakers to cheer in on Friday.
- Girls should have hair up in a secure ponytail on Thursday and Friday.
- Please bring water bottles both days, and a snack on Thursday. The junior cheerleaders will have time for snacks before practice starts.

You are invited to attend the Beaches Campus Dads’ Club Meet and Greet on Tuesday, September 23 at 6:30 p.m. at Southern Swells Brewing Company in Jacksonville Beach, FL.

Parents are invited to a “Coffee and Conversation” with The Rev. Adam Greene, Head of School. The Rev. Greene will update us on the upcoming school year and allow time for a question-and-answer period.
With chapel coming up next week, please be mindful of St. Paul’s by-the-Sea church members and do not park in the church parking lot on 4th Street on Wednesdays.
