Diogo Quirino has accepted the role of Episcopal Boys Soccer Program Director and Head Varsity Coach. A native of São Paulo, Brazil, Coach Quirino brings more than 11 years of club-level coaching experience in Jacksonville. He previously served as an assistant coach for Episcopal’s boys soccer program from 2015–2017 and was a volunteer assistant coach at the University of North Florida in 2015, helping the Ospreys earn the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance. He currently serves as head coach of the Boys U13 and Boys U14 ECNL RL teams at Sporting JAX Soccer Academy. As a player, Coach Quirino captained the University of North Florida men’s soccer team and earned both All-Conference and All-Region honors during his collegiate career. Following his time at UNF, he played for three seasons with the Jacksonville Armada U23 team. In addition to leading the Eagles soccer program, Coach Quirino will work in the Athletic Department as Athletic Operations Coordinator. “We are especially excited to welcome Coach Quirino as a full-time member of our school community, where he will make a meaningful impact on our student-athletes and contribute to the continued growth of our soccer program every day,” said Andy Kidd ’99, Director of Athletics. “I am confident that Coach Quirino’s leadership, experience, and passion for the game will lead to continued growth for our boys soccer program.” Coach Quirino will be sharing information about plans for the summer and fall in the coming weeks.
