Wendi Silvano, best-selling children’s author best known for her Turkey Trouble series, visited with Beaches and St. Mark’s Campus kindergarten through fifth grade students last week. During her presentation, Silvano shared how she develops ideas for her stories, works with illustrators, and brings a book from concept to publication. She also highlighted the importance of reading and writing every day. Students listened as she read her popular book Turkey Trouble and participated in an interactive sequencing activity that connected to the story. Silvano’s visit offered students a valuable look into the creative process behind children’s literature and inspired enthusiasm for reading and storytelling.
