Dear Parents,
Episcopal has just been notified that beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Step Up For Students now requires parents and guardians to complete an attestation in the EMA portal before each quarter in order to receive scholarship funding. This attestation confirms that the student is not enrolled full-time in a public school.
What This Means for You: Families need to log in to EMA to complete the Quarter 1 attestation by August 15. The process requires answering a single yes-or-no question, and your answer is NO.
Please read the attestation carefully before submitting your response. Selecting the incorrect answer may result in the student’s scholarship being forfeited and could require a lengthy reinstatement process through Step Up For Students.
To receive funding, the attestation must be completed each quarter by the following deadlines:
- Quarter 1:
- Aug. 15, 2026, for students who enrolled by June 26, 2026
- Sept. 15, 2026, for students who enrolled between June 26 and July 15, 2026
- Quarter 2: Nov. 15, 2026
- Quarter 3: Feb. 15, 2026
- Quarter 4: April 15, 2026
