Episcopal Fund Gifts Support Learning During COVID

Donations to The Episcopal Fund this year helped support students who were temporarily learning from home due to COVID-19 quarantines with new technology in every classroom on all three campuses. The Instructor Voice Amplifier projects the instructor’s voice to the students in the classroom as well as the students on Zoom. With masks the teacher’s voice is muffled and it is harder to hear in the classroom and on Zoom. The Video Conference Webcam is a full HD webcam that is used to help facilitate increased immersion for remote students tuning into the live classroom environment. Finally the Web Conference Room Microphone picks up student interactions. The microphone allows remote students to hear classroom discussion which, in turn, promotes remote student engagement in a Harkness style classroom environment. It also helps remote students hear and understand clearly the questions asked by their in-person peers.
