Most gifts to Episcopal are cash contributions for which donors receive tax benefits if they itemize deductions.

Wire Transfer

Matching Gifts
Yours may be one of the many employers who offer matching-gift programs which double - and in some cases even triple - the value of your gift to the school. Please contact your employer for matching gift guidelines for your company.
Appreciated Stocks and Securities
Donors may realize substantial tax savings by transferring appreciated stock to the school prior to the sale. Capital gains on the amount of appreciation may be avoided, and the donor receives a tax deduction based on the fair market value of the stock on the date the stock is transferred. To transfer stock, please notify Ryan Riggs, Director of Major Gifts ([email protected]) or Franklin Beard at [email protected] to notify them of the pending transfer.
Please provide the following when transferring stock:
Description of security
Number of shares
Designation of gift (if any)
Electronic Transfer: UBS Financial Services
DTC #0221
For the benefit of Episcopal School of Jacksonville
Account Number: V5 71786
The Donor name should be referenced in the notes section.
Planned Gifts
Whether through a bequest or an income-producing structured gift, planned gifts can realize substantial benefits for donors and for Episcopal. Contact Ryan Riggs at [email protected] or 904.396.5751, extension 1188 for more information.
Gifts of Personal Property
Episcopal’s gift acceptance policy includes a provision for gifts of personal property as long as certain conditions are met. Please check with Ryan Riggs at [email protected] or 904.396.5751, extension 1188 on the gift you are considering.
IRA Rollover
If you are 70½ or older, you can transfer all or part of your required minimum distribution (up to $100,000) to Episcopal tax free, as the transfer is not the same as if you had received it as income. Up to $100,000 can count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RDA). These transfers can be used to pay off a pledge or make an outright gift.
