Episcopal Fund Chair
John Magevney ’89 is the parent of Bond ’19, Ben ’20, and Abbay ’25. John and his wife, Ellen, are members of The Great Oak Society of leadership donors and are members of The 1966 Society of consecutive year donors. John joined the Episcopal Board of Trustees in 2017 and has been on the Advancement Committee for four years. He served on the Alumni Board for five years and was the 2003-2004 Alumni Board President. While a student at Episcopal, John served as Student Government President. John, Ellen and the broader Magevney family have been longtime supporters of Episcopal’s mission. John is a Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Abbot Downing.
New Parent Chairs
Allison and Joel Luker are parents of Ethan ’23, Wyatt ’27, and Reese ’27. They have been a part of the Episcopal community for five years and have served as Episcopal Fund parent representatives for three years. Allison is CEO for the Duval County Clerk of the Circuit Court, and Joel is owner of Luker Enterprises, Inc.
Middle School Parent Chairs
Erica and Justin D’Arienzo are parents of Aiden, Julia ’23, Katherine ’25, and Liam ’27. They have been a part of the Episcopal community for four years. Erica and Justin have served as Episcopal Fund parent representatives for three years, and Erica was a committee member for Bash: Glampfest. Erica enjoys working at Justin’s practice, D’Arienzo Psychology, which has supported Episcopal as a Corporate Partner.
Upper School Parent Chair
Heather Smith Visali ’94 is the parent of Michael ’24. She is a member of The 1966 Society of consecutive year donors. Heather has been an Episcopal Fund parent representative for two years. While at Episcopal, she was involved in cheerleading. Heather is an attorney at The Lasky Law Firm.
Senior Class Chairs
Lauren and Mike Barker are parents of Jake ’22, and Jordan ’26. They are members of The Great Oak Society of leadership donors and are members of The 1966 Society of consecutive year donors. Lauren and Mike have been Episcopal Fund representatives for three years. Mike is a partner at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. along with Attorneys’ Title Services. Lauren is an attorney at Attorneys’ Title Services which has supported Episcopal as a Corporate Partner.
Parent of Alumni
Jeanie and David Keener are parents to David ’15. They have faithfully supported The Episcopal Fund since 2008. While parents at Episcopal, Jeanie and David were Episcopal Fund Parent Representatives for many years, and spent their time supporting their son, who was a member of the rowing program. David retired from Black Knight, Inc. in February 2020 and Jeanie plans to retire from Black Knight in October, 2021.
Eagle Society Chair
Peter Blumeyer ’08 is a member of The 1966 Society of consecutive year givers and The Eagle Society of young alumni leadership donors. Peter is a member of the Alumni Board where he has co-chaired the Young Alumni committee, served in a leadership role on the Reunion Weekend Committee, and served as Vice President of The Episcopal Fund for the past two years. He has been an Alumni Class Representative for four years. While at Episcopal, he ran cross country and track, was a member of the Student Senate and Honor Council, and was Valedictorian for the Class of 2008. Peter and his wife Devon live in Jacksonville where he is an associate attorney with Holland & Knight LLP.
Alumni Co-Chairs
Ashley Helmick Howard ’07 is a member of The 1966 Society of consecutive year donors. Ashley is a member of the Alumni Board where she established the Lady Alumni affinity group and has served as the Alumni Board Chaplain. She has also served in a leadership role on the Reunion Weekend Committee and as an Alumni Class Representative. In addition to her service to Episcopal, Ashley has volunteered with the following organizations: Ortega United Methodist Church; Kappa Alpha Theta, Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter; Women's Board of Wolfson Children's Hospital; Jacksonville Clemson Club; Ronald McDonald House, Red Shoe Crew Board, and Angels for Allison. While at Episcopal, she participated in softball. Ashley and her husband John live in Jacksonville where she is Coordinator of Alumni Events at University of North Florida.
Graham Riley ’00 is a member of The Great Oak Society of leadership donors. Graham joined Episcopal’s Alumni Board in 2017 and has served as the Co-Chair of the 2020-2021 Reunion Weekend Committee, as a member of the Networking Committee, and as an Alumni Class Representative for four years. In addition to his service to Episcopal, Graham is involved with mission outreach through his church. While at Episcopal, he enjoyed Marine Biology, was a member of the Varsity Golf team, and was the Senior Class Speaker during Commencement. As owner of Stellers Art and Design, he is focused on creating a new space in Jacksonville for designers and end-users to collaborate. Graham and his wife Whitney live in Jacksonville and are parents of Lola ’28, Thomas, Patrick, and Mindy.
Faculty and Staff Co-Chairs
Caitlin Fitzpatrick joined Episcopal in 2017. She teaches Upper School English and is a sponsor for the Ethics Bowl competition. She received the Guardian Award in 2019-2020 - the Guardian Award is nominated by a student to a faculty member who has been a role model for them during their years at Episcopal and has helped them understand how important these guardians are.
Derrick King joined Episcopal in 2019. He teaches Upper School English, and he serves as an Upper School sponsor for the Awareness, Inclusion, & Respect initiative.
Grandparent Chairs
Jane and Ken Bergquist are grandparents of Brooke ’26, Lilly ’26, and Chase ’27. Jane retired from St. Mark’s Episcopal School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where she was a classroom teacher and chaplain. Previously, she was a teacher and the Upper School Admissions Director at the Potomac School in McLean, Virginia. Ken retired from government and military service, and has continued to consult in the defense and security industries. Ken has been a master swimmer for many years and Jane is an avid tennis player. They enjoy traveling and time with their family.
Corporate Partner Chair
Kirsten and Josh Martino are parents of Ella ’25 and Chase ’28. They have been a part of the Episcopal community for three years. Kirsten and Josh own Bono’s Pit Bar-B-Q, which has supported Episcopal as a Corporate Partner for three years.
