The Episcopal rowing team trains out of the Walton Boathouse, a state-of-the-art facility located on the banks of the Arlington River at the ESJ Knight Sports Campus. The boys’ and girls’ teams row a fall season that leads up to the scholastic season in the spring. Recent highlights include placing second in team points at the Florida Scholastic Rowing Association State Championship for 2017 and 2018. The team has been very successful across many boat classes, including winning 27 Scholastic State titles in the last 10 years alone. Multiple athletes continue to row in college, including Boston University, Boston College, Bucknell, Cornell, Duke, FIT, Fordham, Jacksonville University, MIT, Rollins, United States Naval Academy, University of Alabama, University of North Carolina, University of Massachusetts, University of Tennessee, University of Texas, Stetson, Princeton University, and UCLA. The Rowing Program fields teams at the Middle and Upper School levels. The Episcopal Rowing Program is led by Program Director and Head Girls Coach Mike Alton and Head Boys Coach Pete Washburn.
