Junior Varsity (third grade) and Varsity (fourth and fifth grade) basketball teams are offered in the fall on the Beaches and St. Mark’s lower school campuses as an after-school activity. Teams practice twice a week and have regular opportunities for home and away games against many local schools, including Grace Episcopal, Jacksonville Country Day School, Riverside Presbyterian Day School and San Jose Episcopal. The League is part of the North Florida Independent School Athletic Conference (NFISAC).
All lower-school athletics have a no cut policy. The goal is to build skills, promote teamwork, foster a love of the game, and provide a competitive and fun outlet for students to grow and be physically active as part of a healthy lifestyle.
