About Application Kickoff
Episcopal College Counselors meet with all seniors to ensure a smooth start to the application season and senior year.
We’ll revisit essential tools, including the Common Application and Scoir, ensuring each senior understands the necessary policies, procedures, and requirements.
In addition, seniors will complete important authorization forms, update their college lists, learn about required procedures, and set up individual meetings with their college counselor.
Throughout the year, we (college counselors) guide and support seniors with every aspect of the admissions process – from balancing the college list to brainstorming essay responses to reviewing applications and essays prior to submission.
Application Kickoff is one of many programs Episcopal College Counseling hosts each year to ensure that students are well-informed and well-supported.
The Challenge Success event originally scheduled to take place this evening has been rescheduled, as our guest speaker is ill and unable to travel today.
This important conversation will now take place:

Episcopal College Counseling is pleased to invite all juniors, seniors, and parents of all grade levels to join us for A Healthier Approach to College Admissions, presented by Challenge Success (a non-profit affiliated with the Stanford University Graduate School of Education).

*NEW DATE: Monday, September 9*

During this workshop, our guest speaker, Jon Kleiman will address common questions surrounding college admissions, including:

- Are students who attend more selective colleges better off later in life?
- What is “fit” and why does it matter?
Participants will gain valuable insights into the relationship between college selectivity and future outcomes, as well as practical strategies to reduce pressure and support your student’s well-being.
We look forward to seeing you there for this important and enlightening event!
