Your Voice Matters – Please Share Your Feedback in Parent Survey

At Episcopal, we deeply value parent feedback and partnership as we strive to create the best possible experience for our students and families. Your insights help us strengthen our community and programming to best serve our students. We kindly ask parents to take a few minutes to complete our survey. To provide the most thoughtful responses, we encourage you to find a quiet moment to reflect and share your thoughts. We know your time is valuable, and we greatly appreciate you taking the survey which will take approximately 10-15 minutes, and covers all aspects of campus life. We welcome both parents to complete the survey individually. The survey will remain open until April 3.

Shrek the Musical (April 24-26)

The ESJ Fine Arts Department is proud to present Shrek the Musical. The performances are at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, and Friday, April 25, and at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, in the Deming Theatre (located in the Munnerlyn Center for Worship and Fine Arts on the Munnerlyn Campus).

Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure of a green ogre and a wise-cracking donkey who embark on a journey to save the land from an evil lord and rescue a lovely princess from a terrible fate. But why does the princess keep running away?

As part of our celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Munnerlyn Center for Worship and Fine Arts, Shrek the Musical will also feature an appearance by alumni from Peter Pan, the first production ever in the Deming Theatre.

General admission tickets are now available for $20 at esj.booktix.com. ESJ students are free. Shrek the Musical is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

New this week

Daniel Kids Toy Drive (December 2-13)

The Beaches Campus is hosting a Toy Drive to support Daniel Kids. The Toy Drive will run Monday, December 2 – Friday, December 13. Our campus is collecting new and unwrapped toys for the children at Daniel Kids. Some gift suggestions are board games, athletic equipment, coloring books, make-up kits, dolls, action figures, scooters, and gift cards.

A little about Daniel Kids

Daniel Kids is a nonprofit organization in Florida dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and families in crisis or need. Its mission is to provide high-quality services that help at-risk youth achieve independence, stability, and emotional well-being. Daniel Kids works with schools, families, and local agencies to provide integrated support, aiming to create a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable youth.

They serve children and young adults from ages 5 to 25. They offer age-appropriate programs that address the unique needs of children, adolescents, and young adults, focusing on areas like mental health, foster care, independent living, and vocational training to support each age group effectively.

Dear Beaches Campus Parents,

For the upcoming school year, the PA has organized activities that will enrich our students’ school experience and support our faculty and staff. It is our goal to create school spirit and a joyful sense of community, organize appropriate events, and honor Beaches Campus traditions.

BEAM Food Drive (November 4 - 15)

Episcopal School of Jacksonville, Beaches Campus has partnered with BEAM for an upcoming food drive. Our campus will be helping to restock shelf-stable, high-demand items often requested by families during the holidays.

Food Drive Items:

Cereal
Canned vegetables
Canned fruit
Soup
Shampoo
Shelf-Stable Meat (Tuna, Vienna Sausage, etc.)
Instant Mashed Potatoes
Oatmeal/Grits

The holiday drive will run Monday November 4 – Friday, November 15th. There will be boxes in front of each classroom and containers located in the front office reception area to accept donations. .

5th Grade Pasta Dinner and Performance - Now Accepting Orders and Reservations!

The Beaches Campus is excited to host the 5th Grade Pasta Dinner on Thursday, November 21 | 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the gym and performing arts center. This annual tradition celebrates our 5th Graders and guests will be entertained while enjoying an Italian dinner from Caffe Andiamo.

Event Details:

Support our fifth graders as they serve and entertain you in the gym and performing arts center!

Dinner includes:

Salad: Tomatoes, cucumber, parmesan cheese, and Italian dressing
Pasta: Penne with the choice of toppings: marinara sauce, meatballs (4 – 5 meatballs per order), or veggie
Fresh baked garlic bread
Dessert

Thanksgiving Break (November 25-29)

Beaches Campus Construction Annoucement

Dear Beaches Community,

I hope this message finds you well. After much anticipation, we are pleased to share that we will begin construction on our new, additional classroom building next week! This important project will enhance our learning environment and allow us to better serve our students.

The new building is on track to be completed before August 2025. We are committed to minimizing disruption in the coming months, and we will update you on progress and any changes that may affect our daily routines.

PARKING

Starting next week, we will not be able to park on 4th Street between 10th Avenue and 11th Avenue. Please avoid this area entirely as the contractors, with heavy equipment, will utilize this space for the project.

COMMUNICATION AND UPDATES

We understand that construction can bring challenges, and we appreciate your patience as we work through this process. We will send regular updates via the Insider, E-News, and email to keep everyone informed about the progress of the project and any important information.
