Track & Field Program
The ESJ Track & Field program gives students the opportunity to be coached and instructed by some of the most knowledgeable, committed, and highly respected coaches in the state. The team has a long, proud tradition of excellence with many individual state champions and a girls’ team state championship in 2007. The program is open to sixth- through twelfth-grade students with a roster typically of 80-90 athletes. Although the Middle School athletes have age-specific meets, they may -- and often do -- compete in the Upper School meets as the opportunity arises and performance level allows. The program practices and competes at the Dan R. Langford Track and is led by longtime Program Director and Head Coach Charlie Hunt.

Coach Hunt was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers and finished his NFL career with the Tampa Bay Bucs. In 2016, Coach Hunt was honored at Episcopal with the new naming of the football field, Pajcic-Hunt Field.
