ESJ partners with several different groups and associations to fulfill the goals and objectives of our Mission Trips. We currently offer Mission Trips in connection with Youth Works. In 2019, students experienced parts of Puerto Rico while painting houses, doing yard work, and worshiping alongside students from other parts of the U.S. One of the highlights of the past few years has been our Mission Trip to a Native American Reservation. Students loved working on houses and playing with children as they taught them about Jesus and the Bible. In the past we have also partnered with a ministry in Haiti and a ministry called Project Ruth (projectruth.ro), located in Bucharest, Romania.

ESJ 2023 Mission Trip: Lake Traverse Reservation in South Dakota

The Rev. Teresa Seagle, Rev. Andy Farmer, and The Rev. Chris Dell, will be leading a mission trip to the Lake Traverse Reservation in South Dakota from June 11, 2023, to June 17, 2023, working with YouthWorks (youthworks.com) to support the native Americans from the Dakota tribe.  We will work on home repairs, yard work, and painting.  We will also help at Kid's Club, a summer camp for the Dakota children on the reservation.

Our days will include morning and evening devotionals as well as worship experiences with the residents. We will know our specific itinerary relative to their needs as we get closer to our departure date.
