Dr. Pritchard Attends Seminar in Germany
While participating in a two-week seminar in late June in at the Goethe-Institut in Bremen, Germany, Dr. Kate Pritchard, Director of Curriculum, had the opportunity to meet up with her former student, Monica Wilson ’13, in Hamburg.
After graduating from Episcopal, Monica studied at Smith College in Massachusetts where she double-majored in Biological Sciences and German Studies. During her time at Smith, Monica spent a year abroad, studying at the University of Hamburg. Monica’s love for the German language and culture began at Episcopal, where she studied German and participated in the German Exchange with Dr. Pritchard. Monica is completing a Fulbright Fellowship in Kaiserslautern at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. She intends to remain in Germany to earn her master’s degree in Microbial Ecology from the University of Cologne as a DAAD Scholar.
Dr. Pritchard received a scholarship from the Goethe-Institut to participate in a seminar with German instructors from around the world. The participants included advanced German instructors from Finland, France, Ireland, India, China, Belarus, Russia, Romania, Albania, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.
