St. Mark’s Campus Students Prepare for the W.W. Gay Ortega River Run
In anticipation of the upcoming W.W. Gay Ortega River Run, Coach Abreu, St. Mark’s Campus P.E. Instructor, is leading students through a comprehensive training program designed to get them race-day ready. The race, which raises funds for the school’s financial aid program, will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
Coach Abreu has been working with students to build their endurance, improve their running techniques, and emphasize the importance of teamwork and perseverance. Pre-K 3 – grade 5 students earn a special “foot” charm to wear on a necklace for every lap or mile they complete around the Berg Field track. This initiative not only encourages fitness, but also celebrates each student’s dedication and progress.
Thank you, Coach Abreu, for your leadership and commitment to preparing our students for a race that makes a difference! With your guidance and the students’ dedication, the school community looks forward to a fun and exciting event.
