World Languages Honor Society Inductions Held
Students were inducted into their respective World Language Honors Societies today during a special ceremony in the Sikes Theatre. Latin, French, Spanish, and Chinese language students were given certificates for their achievements. World Languages faculty also presented selected recipients certificates of recognition for the Global Seal of Biliteracy. For the Global Seal of Biliteracy, students demonstrated their proficiency in Chinese, French, Italian, Russian, Portuguese, and Spanish by taking either Advanced Placement or AAPPL exams and earning qualifying scores. Participation in the Global Seal of Biliteracy program at ESJ has more than quadrupled since last year. “These students have demonstrated outstanding proficiency, not only in mastering foreign languages but also in their commitment to cross-cultural understanding and communication. Their accomplishments are a testament to their diligence, perseverance, and intellectual curiosity,” said Rebecca Howes, Spanish teacher.
