13 Students Head to State Science and Engineering Fair

At the Northeast Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair 13 Episcopal students were named place award winners, and all were selected to represent ESJ’s region at the State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida April 2-6. In addition, Alex Chindris and Anabella Platt were chosen to represent the region at the International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles in May. Students were also recipients of special awards and cash prizes totaling $1,400. Junior Alex Chindris received a $ 35,000-a-year scholarship for four years at Jacksonville University. “It is the skills and knowledge that they gain in all academic areas that have provided the foundation for their successes in their research and science competitions,” said Marion Zeiner, Director of Scientific Research. “In the coming weeks, the students will improve their display boards and their presentations for the next level of competition.”
