College Counseling Hosts Multiple Events

College Counseling hosted and participated in several events last week. On Monday the office held informational meetings for parents of 8th grade students.

On Wednesday Ryan Riggs, Director of College Counseling, presented on a panel sponsored by High School 9:12, with Alan Verlander, CEO of Airstream Ventures. The panel was open to Duval County Public School students and covered athletic recruiting.

On Thursday students from independent schools around Jacksonville attended a college fair at UNF, organized by Associate Director of College Counseling Andrea Rizzi.

ESJ hosted Pat Orr, Senior Assistant Dean of Admission & Financial Aid at Davidson, who held a workshop for area high school college counselors on financial aid on Friday.

In addition, on March 9, College Counseling and the Parents Association will present College Counseling Beyond the Basics: Getting the Most from your College Tours from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. in the Davis Chapel in the Munnerlyn Center.
