Lower School Students Experience Fine Arts on ESJ’s Munnerlyn Campus

Yesterday, Beaches and St. Mark’s Campus third to fifth grade students had a memorable fine arts afternoon on the Munnerlyn Campus. They enjoyed a picnic lunch with the Middle School cast of “SchoolHouse Rock!,” explored the Italy Photography Show in the Berg Gallery, and listened to Episcopal’s jazz band. Katie Black-Bowling ’95, Director of Fine Arts, shared inspiring insights about all that our students are experiencing and encouraged students to pursue their own creativity. The students also heard from Alex Hernandez, Jazz Band Instructor, Mark Zimmerman, Photography Instructor, and Langdon Zimmer, Middle School Theater Director. The day culminated with the main event – a high-energy performance of “SchoolHouse Rock!,” the middle school musical, leaving students excited and inspired by the arts and what they have to look forward to as they progress to Middle School.
