“Raising Respectful Kids” Event with Mike Domitrz (October 28)
Students and parents have the opportunity to participate in a Health, Safety, and Well-Being education event next week.
On Monday, October 28, parents are invited to hear Mike Domitrz from the Center for Respect present “Raising Respectful Kids” at 5:15 – 6:45 p.m. in the Deming Theatre located in the Munnerlyn Center. Mike Domitrz works closely with students and schools across the country to produce national initiatives resulting in revolutionary change in Americaās approach to dating and respect. Mike has been quoted in major publications such as The Wall Street JournalĀ and been a featured expert on Dateline NBCās āMy Kid Would Never Do Thatā series. Parents will appreciate learning essential strategiesĀ andĀ skillsĀ forĀ
On Tuesday, October 29, students will have grade level appropriate assemblies with Mike during the school day, where he will address 9 Daily Choices for Respect and 9 Daily Displays of Disrespect. Advisories will hold discussion on the subject matter and help students consider where they can make changes in how they interact with others.
Health, Safety, and Well-Being programs are intended to round out the emotional and spiritual growth of Episcopal students. ESJ is proud to be a school known for fostering young adults who thrive in areas of self development, even after graduation.
