Bridgett Stroud, St. Mark’s Campus Learning Specialist, Named Nancy N. Wood Excellence in Education Award Recipient

Bridgett Stroud, Learning Specialist, was named the 2024 Nancy N. Wood Excellence in Education Award recipient for her work at St. Mark’s Campus over the past nine years.

Her nominations read:

“Bridgett has unselfishly gone above and beyond normal expectations of time, energy, and devotion. She loves and respects the children and balances that with high expectations for academics and behavior. She motivates students to higher levels of achievement. She is always willing to take on whatever professional development is necessary.”

“Bridgett is driven by her devotion to our students, their parents, and our faculty. Her goal is to give every student an environment to thrive in. This can only be accomplished by supporting the students, parents and teachers. Providing this support is time-consuming, but Bridgett is passionate about our students. She intentionally provides learning support in every classroom so that she has firsthand knowledge of our students. Students love working with her and are comfortable with her. This classroom connection with our students enables her to work effectively with our teachers and to speak intelligently about students to their parents.”

Bridgett has worked at St. Mark’s Campus since 2015, serving as a grade level instructor before becoming the Learning Specialist. Bridgett and her husband, Chip, Assistant Athletic Director for Upper School and Boys Basketball Program Director and Head Coach, have two children, Lauren ’33, and McKenzie ’35.
