Book Signing and Reading for Faculty Member Peter Vertacnik, Winner of the Criterion Poetry Prize

English faculty member Peter Vertacnik has won the New Criterion Poetry Prize for his work, “The Nature of Things Fragile,” his debut collection. The Campus Store will host a book signing and reading on April 23 at 6:00 p.m. Please join us to congratulate Peter and obtain a signed copy of his book. Peter holds degrees in creative writing and English from The University of Florida, Texas Tech University and Penn State University. His poetry, translations, and criticism have appeared in 32 Poems, Bad Lilies, The Cortland Review, Hampden-Sydney Poetry Review, The Hopkins Review, Literary Matters, The New Criterion, Phoebe, Plume, The Spectator (World), THINK, and Water~Stone Review. His debut collection of poetry, The Nature of Things Fragile (Criterion Books, 2024), won the 2023 New Criterion Poetry Prize.
