Parent Education Seminar with Dr. Cat Baker ’02

The Beaches Campus recently hosted Dr. Cat Baker ‘02 from the Florida Children’s Institute for a parent education seminar titled “Understanding Big Emotions & Managing Outbursts” last Friday. The workshop provided families with insights into evidence-based strategies to enhance their child’s emotional intelligence, tailored to realistic developmental milestones for their age. Participants also gained foundational skills to help empower their children in effectively managing emotions and preventing them from becoming overwhelming

“Thank you to the Beaches Campus parent community for the strong parent turnout,” said Jennifer Ketchum, Head of Lower School, Beaches Campus.  “We are grateful for the valuable partnership with the Florida Children’s Institute and its wealth of resources for parents and faculty.”
