Walls Go Up on Haskell Center for Science and Student Life
The first walls for the Haskell Center for Science and Student Life were raised for the structure on October 14. For the past four months, builders have been working on foundations, water, gas, and sewer lines, electrical service, and more. The walls are the first vertical, visible part of the structure. Poured and built onsite, a giant crane helps lift the walls into place, and support beams hold them while the rest of the building is built. Construction is on track and on time for the start of the 2024-2025 school year. Joan and Preston Haskell, along with many other family members, have been longtime supporters of the school. Preston Haskell commented, “Facility upgrades are the school’s most important need. You have a smart student body and dedicated faculty that deserves nice, new facilities.” Currently Episcopal has raised roughly $19.6 million of the $26 million Boldly ESJ campaign goal.
