St. Mark’s Campus Faculty Member Publishes Children’s Book
Laura Fackler, Science Instructor and Dean of Students, Episcopal School of Jacksonville, St. Mark’s Campus, recently published the children’s book, “Bedtime for Bun Bun.”
“Bedtime for Bun Bun” is about a young rabbit who does not want to go to bed even though it is past her bedtime. Her family tries many different things to help her fall asleep. Readers follow along to find out if any of them will work.
“The real Bun Bun is a four footed member of our family who provides lots of inspiration for stories,” said Laura. “I was a very active child and I am positive my parents would have been thrilled if I had gone to bed easily. I loved bedtime with my own daughters, it is truly a precious time.”
Laura Fackler earned her master’s in education while teaching preschool. When she was in elementary school, she told her parents she wanted to grow up and live in a cottage in their yard writing books and painting. She has wanted to write a children’s book ever since. In addition to writing and teaching, Laura enjoys learning, reading, and being active, especially at the beach or while traveling. She lives with her two daughters, the real Bun Bun, and feline brothers Shepherd and Greyson.
