Beaches Campus Welcomes New Learning Specialist

The Beaches Campus welcomed Katie Regan as a new learning specialist at the Beaches Campus last week. Katie will be working with Kindergarten through Grade 5 teachers in the classroom each day to help differentiate instruction by providing instructional support and enrichment to students. As counterpart to our math specialist, Denise Cinnamond, Katie’s focus will be literacy/language arts. Katie will also pull small groups of students as needed, implement specific reading and phonics strategies, and serve as a resource for teachers and parents.

Katie comes to the Beaches Campus with experience in independent elementary schools in Colorado and a Master of the Arts in Elementary Education. She is experienced with a multi-sensory approach to learning, and is certified in Orton-Gillingham. Katie has also been trained in a mindfulness “teacher training pathway” program.  “We are pleased to have Katie join the Episcopal community,” said Jennifer Ketchum, Head of Lower School, Beaches Campus. “Katie brings a diversity of experience to our campus and she will be an integral part of our student support team.” Welcome to ESJ, Katie!
