National Honor Society Students Provide Tutoring
National Honor Society (NHS) students are providing tutoring opportunities for their peers on the Munnerlyn Campus every day during tutorial and lunch periods in the Bryan Library. With specific subjects being offered certain days, students always have a resource available to them should they need a little extra help. For example, math and science are offered on Monday and Thursday, and different languages, English and history are offered Tuesday or Friday. “Tutoring gives our National Honor Society students the opportunity to give back to their community and help their classmates,” said Candy Oberdorfer Edwards ’70, NHS advisor. “Our students benefit from having peer-to-peer instruction from those who have been in the same classrooms with the same teachers. This opportunity helps both the student seeking help and the student providing it.”
