Third Grade Bible Presentation
On Friday, third grade students took part in an important rite of passage on St. Mark’s Campus. Having demonstrated literacy skills and a maturing sense of faith, parents, faculty, and students gathered as third graders received personalized study Bibles during Chapel.
“This is an important milestone that we have at Episcopal,” said Katherine Nott ’90, Christian Education Instructor, St. Mark’s Campus. “Every student who goes through third grade here receives the gift of God’s Word.”
In addition to Bibles being personalized with each child’s name, teachers take the time to sign and write their favorite Bible verses within each Book.
At the conclusion of the service, third grade students led parents, faculty and staff in song, singing, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light into my path.”
