Track Teams Advance to Regional Meet
Both girls’ and boys’ track teams participated in the district track meet hosted by Raines High School on Friday. The girls came away with a second place team finish.
Regional qualifiers for the girls were: Skyler Watts ’24 – first place in the 100m; Nia Atcherson ’24 – first place in the 800m; Harper McEvoy ’21 – third place in the 800m; Hannah Kowkabany ’24 –fourth place in the 800m, first place in the 1600m, and first place in the 3200m; Whitney Morgan ’27 – second place in the 1600m; the 4x100m relay team (Jade ’22 Hardwick, Skyler Watts ’24, Regan Rawls ’21, Chloe Selmer ’24) – first place; the 4x400m relay team – first place; the 4×800 relay team – second place; Chloe Selmer ’24 – first place in long jump and second place in triple jump; Reagan Rawls ’21 – second place in long jump and first place in triple jump; and Sabrina Wingert ’21 – first place in pole vault.
Don Kohla ’21 – first place in the 800m; Michael Officer ’22 – 3rd place in the 800m; the 4x400m relay team – third place; and the 4×800 relay team – first place.
The FHSAA regional meet will take place at Bay High School in Panama City on May 1. Go Eagles!
