Art Room Celebrates the Season
The spirit of Christmas brings an opportunity for creativity to shine in the art room. St. Mark’s Campus art teacher Bebe Alexander has created many traditions in the art room over the years, including wooden nativity scenes made by Pre-K 3 – kindergarten students, clay figures of Jesus (first grade), angels (second grade), Mary (third grade), Joseph (fourth grade), kings (fifth grade), and shepherds (sixth grade), and many painted pictures of Santa, snowmen, nutcrackers, and other holiday favorites.
This year, in addition to all of these beloved pieces of art, Mrs. Alexander introduced angel and Christmas tree glass ornaments in grades three through six as well as Shrinky Dink art with Christmas drawings that students used to label gift bags enclosed with their artwork. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
