Taylor Lee Horne ’00 Chairs Statewide Theatre Education Conference
Taylor Lee Horne ’00, Episcopal’s Performing Arts Department Chair and Upper School Theatre Director, is the President-Elect and Conference Chair for Florida Association for Theatre Education (FATE). The organization’s annual conference, led by Taylor, was converted to a virtual event this year due to COVID.
From October 15 -17, the annual conference took place with theatre educators participating from all areas of the state. Despite the change in format, the full conference was provided for participants. Thirty workshops presented by leaders in the theatre education community, including two presented by Katie Lebhar Black-Bowling ’95, Episcopal’s Director of Fine Arts. Sherie Rene Scott was the keynote speaker.
Taylor also took advantage of the virtual format and included new workshops to the event and obtained special guest cameos from actors including John O’Hurley (best known as J. Peterman from Seinfeld) and Adam Pasquale (best known for his work as Roger in the original production of Rent).
